About Us

Cloquet Transit Company's history dates back over 80 years. After running the company for many years the original owner, Walter Hebert, passed away in 1974. His longtime manager of 17 years, LeRoy Lane, was then given proprietorship to run the company. Cloquet Transit was later incorporated in April of the same year. In November of 1980, Ellen Lane and son Jeff assumed management of the company after LeRoy passed away suddenly. Since that time, Ellen has retired, Jeff has become the president of the company, and brother Jack has become the vice president. Read More
